While having dinner with his friend at a restaurant, the former president of the Turkish club was assassinated

A shocking incident occurred in Turkey, where the former president of a club was assassinated. The president was having dinner with a friend at a restaurant when he was shot by an individual.

The cold-blooded perpetrator, dressed in black and wearing a cap, shot 49-year-old Tuncay Meric in the head from behind with a pistol in the outskirts of the Cekmekoy neighborhood. The former head of Alemdag Spor was immediately taken to the hospital.

Security forces launched a wide investigation to identify the attacker. According to Interior Minister Ali Gerlikaya, the main suspect, a 17-year-old, attempted to flee the country but was found in Edirne and arrested. Alongside him, a 64-year-old man who had hidden the suspect in his home and tried to escape is also being held by authorities.
