Renowned meteorologist Lajda Porja revealed on “Wake Up” when snowfall is expected to begin. According to her, snow will fall on Saturday night and during the day on Sunday.

Porja also stated that December will be white, as this winter is expected to be slightly colder than last year. She added that there will be no snowfall in Tirana, but there may be a chance to enjoy it on Mount Dajt.

“Currently, a cold polar air mass has moved into Central Europe, affecting Germany, France, Switzerland, and Austria with low temperatures.

Mountainous areas, mainly in the north and northeast, will see snowfall, while the southeast will see less. Snow is expected on Saturday night and Sunday. On Sunday, there will be light snowfall, mostly in snow form. We do not expect snow in the Western Lowlands or in Tirana. The common question is always, ‘Will it snow in Tirana?’ No. Tirana generally experiences higher temperatures.

Snow on Mount Dajt is seen occasionally. This year, since the winter is forecasted to be slightly colder than last year, we may have the chance to enjoy snow on Dajt. Let’s hope for a white Christmas, at least in the areas where it usually falls,” said Lajda.
