Winter arrives in Korçë / Dardha, Shtylla, Vithkuqi and other villages turn white!

During the last few hours, snowfall has been recorded at altitudes above 1,200 meters in the southeastern part of the country, mainly affecting the mountainous areas. The most notable spots are Bigla Peak in Dardhë and the Shtylla area up to the peak of Mashkullorë, where snow depth ranges from 5 to 10 centimeters.

Road maintenance contractors are on the ground working to clear and ensure safe circulation on the roads, including the route to Dardhë.

Snow has been reported in almost all remote mountainous areas of the region, but so far no issues with road traffic or emergency situations have been recorded. Responsible structures continue to monitor the situation.
