Pogradeci-Barleti Volley 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-17)

Pogradeci’s women’s volleyball team secured an important victory this afternoon at home. Even though the win against Barleti Volley was expected, the crucial aspect is that, after this triumph, the lakeside girls now find themselves in fourth place— a position that guarantees participation in the “play-off” phase at the end of the championship.

Today’s victory was an easy one for Pogradeci, as they comfortably defeated the team from the capital in just one hour of play.

The first set started with a 3-0 lead for Pogradeci, followed by scores of 8-3 and 10-5, showing the home team’s dominance. With scores of 12-7 and 14-8, it was clear that Pogradeci was not giving the visitors any chances. After leading 15-9, the home team scored seven consecutive points, extending their advantage to 22-9 and ultimately winning the set 25-12, taking a 1-0 lead.

The second set began differently, with the visitors taking an early 1-5 lead. However, Pogradeci fought back and equalized at 9-9. From that point on, the home team took control, leading 14-11 and then scoring six consecutive points to make it 20-11. Eventually, they secured the set 25-17, going 2-0 up.

The third set mirrored the second, with the visitors initially leading 0-2. However, Pogradeci quickly leveled at 4-4 before breaking away to 9-5. With a 15-9 lead, the home team was firmly on the path to victory. The score reached 20-13, and in the end, they closed the set at 25-17, winning the match 3-0 in just one hour of play.

With this win, Pogradeci reaches 11 points, climbing to fourth place in the standings and, for now, achieving their objective. However, there are still more matches to be played before the championship concludes.
