37-year-old arrested for blackmailing a 26-year-old / He demanded 100,000 euros

A 37-year-old man has been arrested for the criminal offense of threats.

It is reported that the arrested individual demanded a sum of 100,000 euros from a 26-year-old woman in order not to publish photos and videos with intimate content on social media.

“Immediately after receiving information that a citizen was threatening a 26-year-old woman through calls/messages on a platform, demanding 100,000 euros in exchange for not publishing intimate photos/videos on social networks, specialists from the Property Crime Investigation Section organized their work and, within the framework of the operation ‘Privacy,’ apprehended and handcuffed the suspected perpetrator, the Kosovar citizen:

– H. L., 37 years old, resident in Kosovo.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office for further actions regarding the criminal offense of ‘Coercion through threats or violence to obtain property,’” the police statement said.
