4.4-magnitude earthquake in the Adriatic Sea, tremors felt in several countries of the region

A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck the Adriatic Sea on Wednesday evening, near the island of Mljet in Croatia. The seismic tremor was recorded at around 23:07 local time (GMT +1).

According to preliminary data, the depth of the earthquake has not yet been confirmed, but it is suspected to have been relatively shallow, making the shaking more noticeable in surrounding areas.

The earthquake was felt in several parts of the region, while so far there have been no reports of material damage or injuries from local authorities.
