Meteorologist Hakil Osmani, on the program “Aldo Morning Show,” announced that from today onward, there will be a significant drop in air temperatures across the country. According to him, this will be most noticeable during tonight and Friday morning.
In mountainous areas, such as Bajram Curri and the northern parts of the country, temperatures will fall to 0–1°C, and negative values are not excluded, reaching -1 or -2°C in some villages.
Snowfall is expected tonight, particularly in the northeastern and southeastern regions, with snow levels starting from 700 meters above sea level.
“Starting today and continuing over the next days, we will see a drop in air temperatures. This will be most noticeable tonight and Friday morning. In cities in mountainous areas, temperatures will drop to 0 or 1°C, such as in Bajram Curri and the northern regions.
We will see snowfall tonight. There is an air mass intervention coming from the cold areas of the continent, which is causing this sharp drop in temperatures. Snowfall will occur in the mountainous areas.
Tonight and Friday morning, snowfall will appear in the northeastern regions, as well as in the southeast. In the northeast, snow will occur above 700 meters, and similarly in the southeastern areas.”
Osmani emphasized that this meteorological phenomenon is caused by a cold air mass moving in from northern continents, bringing lower temperatures and snowfall to mountainous and northern areas.
In the capital, due to high humidity, a noticeable drop in temperatures will also be observed. In the western lowlands, where highs are expected to reach up to 24°C, temperatures will fluctuate more moderately.
