A drug trafficking criminal group has been dismantled by Italian police. According to reports, the group operated in the Milan area and was led by an Albanian national.

Italian police seized 70 kilograms of high-quality hashish and €75,000 in cash, while two people were arrested an Albanian and a Romanian.

The activity was mainly organized in apartments and in a garage converted into a laboratory, where the drugs were processed.

A routine check turned into a major seizure in the Fulvio Testi area of Milan.

Officers from the Greco Turro Police Station stopped two young men, aged 21 and 26, both with criminal records, on Via Giolli, who were driving a car with a punctured tire. The behavior of the two men and several inconsistencies in their explanations prompted officers to investigate further.

During a personal search, €5,800 in cash was found in the possession of the 26-year-old, along with a set of keys linked to a nearby garage. This detail raised officers’ suspicions, leading them to inspect the garage.

Upon arriving at the scene, police immediately noticed a strong smell of hashish coming from inside. A search of the garage confirmed their suspicions: inside were hidden 20 blocks of hashish, weighing a total of 1.7 kilograms, as well as €75,645 in cash, divided into packages.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Italian media reported the conclusion of another major operation in Bergamo, with two additional arrests, 70 kilograms of hashish seized, and €75,000 in cash caught in flagrante.
