A 21-year-old Albanian caught with 28 doses of cocaine and suspected cash

Italian authorities have arrested a 21-year-old Albanian in the city of Terni. The incident occurred during the night between Friday, August 22, and Saturday, August 23. According to Italian media, the young man held a tourist visa and has no prior criminal record.
During a patrol on Via G. Borsi, a car belonging to the Carabinieri narrowly avoided a collision with a vehicle traveling in the wrong direction. The vehicle was later identified as a rental car. Police stopped the car immediately and conducted a search.
The search revealed 28 doses of cocaine with a total weight of around 18 grams, as well as approximately 1,000 euros in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug trafficking. All the cocaine was seized.
The 21-year-old was arrested and taken to Voc. Sabbione prison. After a hearing, the judge approved the prosecutor’s request and ordered that he remain in the Umbria region during the investigation.
