A 35-year-old Albanian man attacked his partner, 12 years younger, and broke her nose with a broom handle

A 35-year-old Albanian man was arrested by police in Pordenone, Italy, accused of domestic violence and aggravated assault against his 23-year-old partner.

Investigations revealed that he had repeatedly physically and psychologically abused the young woman. The most serious incident occurred on July 30, when the victim was struck with punches and the handle of a broom, suffering a broken nose and other serious injuries requiring about 30 days of medical care.

The woman managed to seek help and temporarily leave the residence, allowing police patrols to intervene immediately. Due to the dangerousness of the situation and the risk of repeated violence, the 35-year-old was placed in pre-trial detention.

Local sources report that the arrested man was previously known to the police and did not have a valid residence permit in Italy. He is now in custody under charges of domestic violence and aggravated assault.
