A Ryanair plane, flying from Milan to London’s Stansted Airport, was forced to divert and make an emergency landing in Paris due to unusual behavior from two passengers.

According to British media reports, about 15 minutes after takeoff from Milan, one passenger in the front of the plane began tearing up his passport and biting it, causing panic among other travelers.

At the same time, another passenger went into the plane’s restroom and attempted to flush his passport down the toilet.

“Suddenly, the atmosphere completely changed. No one understood what was happening. These people were acting very strangely,” a witness told the *Daily Star*, adding that the cabin crew immediately intervened to calm the situation.

According to the same witness, a flight attendant knocked on the restroom door to stop the passenger from destroying his documents, while a brief and direct announcement was made to the passengers on board.

The plane diverted to Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, where both passengers were arrested by French police. After about two hours, the flight continued to London.

Passengers described the incident as “very frightening,” and Ryanair has not yet issued an official comment regarding the event.
