Agustin Kola battles health issues, Albanian Football Federation reacts: “We are with you!”

One of the most prominent figures in Albanian football, Agustin Kola, has been hospitalized for several days at the “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Center in Tirana due to health issues.

The legendary former striker of Tirana and the Albanian national team is being treated for stomach ulcers. Sources close to the University Hospital Center (QSUT) report that his condition is stable and he is responding positively to therapy, though he will remain under medical observation for several more days.

The Albanian Football Federation (AFF) also reacted to the situation through a social media post. In their message, FSHF wished Kola a speedy recovery and expressed support during these difficult days.

“The Albanian Football Federation wishes a speedy recovery to the legendary former national team player, Agustin Kola, who is going through a difficult health moment. Stay strong, Agustin, we are all with you!” the FSHF statement reads.

Kola, one of the most beloved names among Albanian fans, has left an indelible mark on domestic football, both as a player and a coach, and has long been a symbol of the black-and-white team.
