The second round of the Albanian Cup will take place over two days, November 18 and 19, with single-leg matches where the winners automatically advance to the next stage. This phase is expected to bring more experiments than excitement, as many teams treat the Cup as a seasonal obligation, using it to rotate their lineups and conserve energy for the league.
Another sign of moderate interest is the choice of match venues. Laçi and Vora have decided to host their games at Vora’s training complex in Ahmetaq, with Laçi playing on Tuesday and Vora on Wednesday. Similarly, Besa will host Kukësi at the renovated Kavajë training complex, while Flamurtari, as in the first round, will play at the Orikum Stadium to preserve the Vlora stadium for league matches, where they will face Tirana this weekend.
Matches on Tuesday in the second round of the Albanian Cup are Laçi vs. Luftëtari and Flamurtari vs. Tomori, both at 13:00. The six other pairings—Skënderbeu vs. Iliria, Vora vs. Sopoti, Besa vs. Kukësi, Burreli vs. Kastrioti, Pogradeci vs. Korabi, and Apolonia vs. Lushnja—will be played on Wednesday, November 19, at 13:00.
A total of 16 teams are participating in this round, including two Superiore teams (Flamurtari and Vora, promoted this season from the First Division), 12 First Division teams, and two Second Division teams (Sopoti and Tomori). According to the previously drawn bracket, the Albanian Cup schedule is set through the Round of 16, where the eight remaining Superiore clubs will join, significantly raising the level of competition in the next stages.
