The wait is over / Skënderbeu is promoted to the Superliga, close to completing its UEFA suspension. In June, Europe awaits us!

A year ago, when Skënderbeu was relegated from the Superliga to the First Division, there was pessimism in Korça, as many considered Skënderbeu a weak team that would hardly manage to return to the top flight.

Today, one year later, Skënderbeu has secured an immediate return to the Superliga, and not only that, what excites the southeastern region most is the fact that its UEFA sanction is coming to an end.

In February next year, Skënderbeu will complete its 10-year “death penalty” ban, and then in June the club could compete in Europe without restrictions. A whole decade has passed so quickly, and this means that in the new Superliga season Skënderbeu will undoubtedly build a strong, competitive squad.

In Korça, the excitement of the historic team in red and white is beginning to return, a team that for 10 years no one managed to truly replicate.

Of course, “return to the Superliga” is easy to say, but this achievement carries the major merit of club president Ardjan Takaj, who never abandoned Skënderbeu. Now there is renewed belief that the club will return to Europe, where it once made history.

Red-and-white fans are now encouraged to return to the stadium stands, as Skënderbeu is preparing for a major comeback.
