After gathering waters from the western slopes of Rrungajë and the eastern slopes of Mashkullorë, starting from Fushat e Bukura and continuing downstream through Lugut, Tolabë, and Mount Çingas, the river carves its first canyon along the Rripa e Keqe. It then flows eastward under the Great Bridge of Vithkuq, filling Gjançi, the Fusha e Leshnjës, and onwards through a corner of Kolonjë where it joins with the Përroi i Kozelit initially, then with the Selenicë river slightly downstream, followed by Gostivisht where it meets the Lumi i Borovës. Here, it sharply turns westward and after this meandering route, it returns just a few kilometers below its source near Vakëf, where it meets Skrapar. Continuing, it gains momentum from the Lumi i Ostrovicës and forms several other canyons along its path. This passage describes a journey through the landscapes and canyons around Berat and its surroundings, eventually leading to the Devoll River which joins with the Seman River. The writer mentions visiting the first canyon of the river, starting from Vithkuq down to the Pigeon Cave, where further climbing becomes difficult without proper equipment. It’s described as a beautiful hike, albeit challenging, and invites readers to view photos and videos below for a better understanding. The location is noted to be just a 25-minute drive from Korça, with the trip organized by Korca Tours.
