Arrest in flagrante for domestic violence in Korçë

In continuation of efforts to prevent and tackle cases of domestic violence, citizen M. K., 44 years old and resident of Korçë, was arrested in flagrante. This individual is suspected of having exercised physical and psychological violence against his wife, who was immediately issued a protection order by the relevant authorities.

During his escort to the Police Commissariat, M. K. violently resisted police officers, obstructing their actions in performing their duties. Further procedural actions are underway under the direction of the Korçë District Prosecutor’s Office regarding this case.

Criminal proceedings against a 50-year-old for possession of illegal gambling devices

Additionally, during an inspection conducted at a venue in neighborhood no. 9 of the city of Korçë, administered by citizen E. T., 50 years old, several electronic devices suspected to be used for illegal gambling activities were found and seized.

Subsequently, the investigative materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office, and criminal proceedings have been initiated against E. T. for the offense of “Organizing unauthorized lotteries.”

The Korçë Police assure citizens that they will continue intensive work to prevent and combat illegal activities and invite anyone with knowledge of law violations to report through the number 112 or the “Digital Commissariat” app, guaranteeing anonymity and immediate response.
