Bad weather/ The Lozhan-Moglicë road segment collapses, 8 families remain stranded

Heavy rainfall in recent hours has caused significant problems on several roads in the Maliq Municipality.

One of the most serious damages is the collapse of a segment of the old Lozhan-Moglicë road, which has isolated 8 families in the villages of Gjinikas and Osojë. Due to the collapse, vehicle traffic on this route has become impossible.

The municipal teams immediately began work on creating a temporary bypass to provide an alternative route, allowing residents to move until full traffic is restored. Work is ongoing with intensity to ensure the situation is normalized as quickly as possible.

Meanwhile, the rainfall has also caused landslides on the road in the village of Kakaç.

Municipal specialists are on site conducting inspections and studying the area, as other ground movements have been observed that require careful assessment.

Nevertheless, despite the damages, the road currently remains passable for vehicles, and authorities are on full alert to intervene further if the weather worsens.
