Citizen caught driving under the influence arrested in the act

Specialists from the Road Traffic Sector have arrested in flagrante delicto a citizen identified as S. M., aged 48, residing in North Macedonia, after he was caught driving a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

The arrest occurred during routine traffic control operations aimed at ensuring road safety and preventing accidents caused by impaired driving. Upon detection, law enforcement officers immediately stopped the vehicle and conducted a breathalyzer test, which confirmed that the driver was intoxicated beyond the legal limit.

Following the arrest, S. M. was taken into custody and all necessary procedural steps are currently being carried out in accordance with the law. The relevant authorities are handling the case, which may lead to charges related to reckless driving and endangering public safety.

This incident highlights the continued commitment of traffic police to enforcing regulations designed to protect all road users and reduce traffic-related incidents caused by alcohol consumption.
