Father and son assaulted in their home, end up in hospital: Suspected perpetrators are police officers

A serious incident reportedly occurred late on Saturday in the village of Vlosë, Cakran, Fier, where a father and son were assaulted inside their home.

The victims are Ylli Meçe, 81 years old, and Altin Meçe, who has lived for years as an emigrant in Germany. Both are currently hospitalized.

On social media, MP Luan Baçi has publicly denounced the incident. According to Baçi, the family accuses officers from the Fier Police Station of being responsible, even naming them in the complaint.

Baçi also raised concerns that the police are absent from the hospital to ensure the safety of the victims and warned of possible attempts to manipulate the case.

He called on the Prosecutor’s Office and police leadership to conduct a full, transparent, and fair investigation and to hold the perpetrators accountable.
