The Socialist Party had initially requested the expulsion of 29 Democratic Party MPs following the tensions and chaos caused during the last parliamentary session.

However, at today’s meeting of the Secretariat for Ethics, the Socialist Party withdrew its request for 26 MPs. Among the names for whom no expulsion measure was taken were Sali Berisha and Gazment Bardhi.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided that only six Democratic Party MPs would be expelled from parliamentary proceedings for 30 days. Disciplinary measures were taken against Belind Këlliçi, Fidel Kreka, Albana Vokshi, Klevis Balliu, Flamur Noka, and Elda Hoti.

The decision comes after recent developments in Parliament, where the parliamentary session was accompanied by strong tensions and repeated interruptions of proceedings.
