Fires in Korçë County / Situation under control, hotspot in Prespa Park under monitoring

Following the monitoring and interventions carried out by the responsible structures of the local Civil Emergencies, the current situation in the territory of Korçë County is reported as stabilized.

All fire hotspots have been neutralized and there is no risk of further spread.

Interventions and field monitoring continue to ensure safety and prevent any possible reactivation.

1. Strelcë Village, Gorë Administrative Unit, Maliq Municipality:The fire has been completely extinguished and the hotspot neutralized. Local forces continue to monitor the area.

   
   

2. Area between Dishnicë and Barç villages, Bulgarec Administrative Unit, Korçë Municipality:The fire has been neutralized and the situation is stable. The forestry service sector continues monitoring.

   
   

3. Lajthizë Village, Pustec Municipality – Zvezdë–Goricë road:The fire in the upper area of the village is under control. The hotspots are currently neutralized. Smoke is present within the already burned area and poses no risk of spreading.

   
   

Monitoring and interventions will continue until every hotspot is completely extinguished and safety in Prespa National Park is fully ensured.
