From Mentor Kikia: The first day of school… and the price of cheese!

The new MPs of the Socialist Party will undergo a training, a summer school, a party school… Beyond the sarcasm this decision has sparked, I actually think it's a positive thing, as people coming from different backgrounds get to learn about the legislative field.
But this is a completely peripheral issue compared to the public interest. And yet, this was headline news across all types of media. Some even ambushed the MPs in live broadcasts, microphones in hand, asking them who their favorite lecturer was (at least ask what they expect to learn).
Just a day earlier, a report came out that, according to Eurostat, in 2024 food prices in Albania were higher than in the EU. For some basic goods, prices have soared to 131% of the EU average. Very few media outlets—very few—published the news. And no one bothered to analyze the situation.
Why?
No one asked how much wheat was produced this year.
How much milk did our livestock farms produce?
Why does cheese cost more in Tirana than in Berlin?
Instead of dealing with these real problems, we go LIVE from the Socialist Party headquarters and ask Zegjine and “Neomalesorja”: Who’s your favorite lecturer?
