Government announces bonus for pensioners! Here’s how much the elderly will receive for the year-end holidays

The government has decided to distribute a year-end bonus to pensioners. The announcement was made by Finance Minister Petrit Malaj during the budget presentation at the Law Commission.

“Those with a pension up to 20,000 lek will receive 15,000 lek, and those with a pension above 20,000 lek will receive a year-end bonus of 10,000 lek,” said Petrit Malaj.

Petrit Malaj added: “We have allocated around 7.6 billion lek to the pension scheme. Of this, 1.7 billion lek increases the special pension accounts, and 5.9 billion lek raises the fund dedicated to the year-end bonus for approximately 750,000 pensioners.”

This additional amount, derived from increased contributions to the scheme, brings the total funds for the year-end bonus to 9.7 billion lek.
