Greece shaken by 4.7 magnitude earthquake in Messinia region

A 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck the Messinia region in the Peloponnese, southern Greece, on Thursday, according to the Athens Geodynamic Institute.
No injuries or material damages were reported.
The tremor was recorded shortly after 1:00 PM, about 11 kilometers northwest of the city of Messini, at a depth of 23 kilometers.
Local reports say the quake was felt in surrounding areas as well.
A smaller aftershock with a magnitude of 2.5 was registered a few minutes later.
