Strike in the region temporarily paralyzes transport / Customs issues important notice

The General Directorate of Customs has announced that, according to information from the customs authorities of Montenegro, a transporters’ strike is expected to take place on 14–16 April 2026, involving Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
According to the announcement, the strike will temporarily block the movement of heavy goods vehicles in these countries and at regional border crossings.
Authorities state that during this period, only transport of live animals, emergency cases, and passenger cars will be allowed to pass.
The strike is expected to last two days, and customs authorities are urging transport operators to take precautionary measures to avoid delays and disruptions in goods movement.
“...during 14–16 April 2026 a transporters’ strike will take place in Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia. As a result, a temporary blockade of heavy vehicle movement is expected. During this period, only transport of live animals, emergency cases, and passenger vehicles will be exempt. Implementation period: 14–16 April 2026,” the announcement states.
