Hail and falling temperatures, authorities monitor the situation

Bad weather affected several areas of Elbasan County over the weekend, bringing a significant drop in temperatures, heavy rainfall, hail, and strong winds.

According to preliminary data, during last night and Saturday morning, some mountainous areas, particularly in the municipality of Gramsh, experienced severe local storms accompanied by unusual hail.

The phenomenon was also observed in several mountain villages in the municipalities of Librazhd and Prrenjas, where hail showers were heavy but short-lived.

So far, no official reports of material or agricultural damage have been made, while local authorities are closely monitoring the situation in case the weather conditions worsen further.
