Meteorologist Lajda Porja says that July will be hot, with temperatures typical for the summer season.
Porja stated that by mid-July, temperatures will reach up to 41 degrees Celsius.
"Since yesterday, after the cool week we left behind, hot air masses have returned and will peak on Friday.
Tomorrow is expected to mark the peak of the heatwave in at least three districts: Shkodër, Elbasan, and Berat will approach 41°C, while many other cities will be very close to this level with temperatures of 38 or 39 degrees, mainly along the coastline.
In the second half of July, we will experience a very hot 15-day period, during which many cities will have tropical nights.
We expect temperatures to reach 41 degrees throughout this 15-day period, but in some areas, this value may be exceeded.
At the end of July, sporadic rainfall is expected in certain areas.
But starting today, we are facing a dynamic July, with many days of very high temperatures.
On Thursday and Friday, even minimum temperatures will rise, making it even more difficult.
Tomorrow will be the peak in Korçë, Berat, Elbasan, and the Shkodër area, where values will reach 41 degrees,” said meteorologist Lajda Porja.
