A shooting incident occurred on Sunday morning in Gjirokastër.
The event took place around 09:40 in the village of Mashkullorë, where, reportedly due to ongoing property disputes, Mr. Astrit Çani, 93, allegedly shot Mr. Pëllumb Çani, 61, in the leg. The victim is hospitalized and is not in life-threatening condition.
Mr. Astrit Çani has been taken to the premises of the Gjirokastër Local Police Directorate for further actions. The firearm, a Kalashnikov, was also found and seized.
It is reported that the two individuals are cousins. The investigative team is at the scene working to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

Mr. A. Ç. has been taken to the local police directorate in Gjirokastër for further procedures.
The Kalashnikov firearm used in the incident has been recovered and confiscated.
The investigative team is on-site and working to determine all the details surrounding the incident.
