Iran fires missile toward Turkey, destroyed by NATO air defense

The Turkish Ministry of National Defense announced that a ballistic missile was launched from Iran, passing through the airspace of Iraq and Syria before heading toward Turkey.
According to the ministry, the missile was destroyed in the air by NATO’s air and missile defense systems before it could enter Turkish airspace.
Sources reported that a fragment of the missile that fell in the Dortyol area of Hatay province was identified as part of the air defense munition that intercepted the threat.
There were no casualties or injuries in the incident.
