“It’s not the first time they have bullied my daughter, she had been suffering for a while”/ Father of the 15-year-old who fell from the balcony speaks out

A shocking event occurred in the city of Sarandë, where a 15-year-old girl jumped from the balcony of her family home. The girl is in serious but stable condition in the hospital. Her family says the cause of this tragic act was the ongoing bullying she had experienced at school.

The adolescent’s father, Arben Cërriku, tearfully recounted the moments before his daughter jumped from the third floor of the building, as well as the pain the family has endured.

“My daughter came home from school yesterday, around 1:30 PM. She told her brother: ‘Nesti, a girl and a boy in class are insulting me, saying I’m a snitch.’ Her brother told her not to be upset and that they would sort it out together,” Cërriku said.

He added that afterward, his daughter lay down on the bed, while his ex-wife was also in the house, and they had tried to stay together for the wellbeing of the children.
