Korça is preparing for the festival that most defines the city, the Festival of Serenades, or Korça Serenights.
The mayor of Korça, Sotiraq Filo, has invited all art lovers not to miss this tradition that makes the city so unique.
“In Korça, a serenade is not just a song, but a part of the spirit of our city. It was born here as a language of emotions and love, and for generations it has continued to preserve its warmth, bringing together young people and old masters in a living tradition,” Filo said in a social media post.
In the old streets, even today, the magic of serenades comes alive in the evenings, touching the hearts of everyone who hears them. The serenade is the connection of the people of Korça with the past, but also a gift passed down to future generations.
The Festival of Serenades will take place on September 18, 19, and 20, featuring some of the most prominent names in this genre, including Mihallaq Andrea, Ermira Kola, Endri and Stefi, Eli Fara, Endri Polena, and others. The Symphonic Orchestra of the Armed Forces will also be present.
