Lost contact with family last night, person found seriously injured under the Maliq bridge

A person was found under the Maliq bridge on the Korçë - Pogradec national road.

The family had lost contact with their relative since last night and reported this to the police. They also joined the search for their missing family member.

Around 15:30, police forces along with family members found the person in serious condition under the bridge, but still showing signs of life.

The individual, who remains unidentified to the media, was urgently transported to the Korçë Regional Hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.

Sources at the hospital confirmed that the injured person is responsive and showing signs of life.

Meanwhile, a large police presence, including traffic police, is at the scene investigating the circumstances of the incident to determine whether the person was hit by a vehicle or fell.

An expert team will ultimately determine the causes of this event.
