Turkish authorities arrested 19 actors, influencers, and singers on Wednesday as part of an investigation into a drug network. Among those taken to the Gendarmerie headquarters in Istanbul was Hadise Açıkgöz, who represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2016 with the song *Düm Tek Tek*.

After leaving the gendarmerie, Hadise posted a cryptic message on Instagram, writing: “I am as confused as you are,” and later shared images from a concert she performed in Ankara.

Those called in for questioning also included actors Demet Evgar, Özge Özpirinçci, Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Kaan Yıldırım, Kubilay Aka, Berrak Tüzünataç, and Meriç Aral, singers Hadise Açıkgöz and İrem Derici, as well as influencer couple Ölans and İrem Derici.

Dilan Polat’s lawyer, Sevinç Horoz, stated that her client had previously undergone tests confirming she had not used drugs. “If this is considered insufficient, we are ready to undergo a new examination. It is impossible to understand what happened.”

The Polats, who have built a multi-million-dollar beauty business, have had legal issues over the past two years. They were arrested last March on charges of drug possession and are facing trial for money laundering and tax evasion allegations.

The investigation is being conducted by the Istanbul Prosecutor’s Office for Smuggling, Narcotics, and Economic Crimes, with authorities stating that it focuses on determining whether the suspects were using drugs and if their use violated Turkish law.
