Missing for three weeks, 77-year-old found dead in Pogradec

After nearly three weeks of searching, a 77-year-old man who had been reported missing was found dead in the village of Piskupat, Pogradec.

The individual, N. M., 77 years old, had left his home on June 6th. It was his wife who reported his disappearance to the police.

The elderly man's body was discovered today, but the cause of death has not yet been determined.

Police arrived at the scene and are working to clarify all the circumstances surrounding the case.

Preliminary investigations are underway, while the results of the forensic examination are awaited to determine the exact cause of death.

At around 12:30 p.m., in a wooded area above the city cemetery, the body of citizen N. M., 77 years old, was found by family members with no signs of life and no signs of violence. It is suspected that he died by suicide.

This individual had been missing from his home since June 6, 2025.

The investigative team is working to fully uncover the circumstances of the event.
