Korçë / Police operation codenamed "Target" concluded.

A 31-year-old man was arrested while carrying a firearm.

The arrestee has a prior criminal record in offenses against persons, illegal possession of weapons, and production and sale of narcotics.

During the operation, authorities seized one pistol, live ammunition, and a sum of cash.

As part of ongoing efforts to gather information and combat illegal weapons possession, and based on inspections carried out in various locations where illegal gambling activities might take place, the Korçë Police Commissariat organized and finalized the operation codenamed "Target" after receiving information that a man was moving while armed.

During a police check in neighborhood no. 9, inside a local establishment, Andi Qeraxhi, suspected of being armed, was located. Upon noticing the police presence, he attempted to flee quickly to avoid arrest but was caught and neutralized.

A physical search led police to find and seize, as material evidence, one pistol with a magazine, live ammunition, and a sum of cash.

Following procedural actions, A. Q., 31, resident of Korçë, was arrested in flagrante for the criminal offense of "Illegal possession and production of firearms, explosives, and ammunition."

Procedural materials were handed over to the Korçë Prosecution Office for further action.
