Built without a permit in the Voskopojë area, the administrator of the business was arrested. Two employees of the Korçë Municipality’s Territorial Inspectorate (IMT) have been criminally prosecuted. Several State Police officers have been suspended and are undergoing disciplinary procedures.

Following orders from the General Director of the State Police to conduct thorough territorial inspections aimed at identifying and tackling illegal activities, the Korçë Local Police Directorate, based on operational information, arrested in flagrante citizen Ibrahim Kruja, 63 years old, administrator of a private business.

This individual is suspected of having built several concrete foundations along the Korçë–Voskopojë road axis without the necessary permits, intended for constructing buildings.

Additionally, citizens Idlir Lemillari and Emil Kafe, 36 years old, holding the positions of Chief Inspector and Inspector in the Korçë Municipality IMT, have been criminally prosecuted for alleged abuse of duty by failing to perform the required inspections and for not notifying the police in a timely manner.

Further actions led to the suspension and initiation of serious disciplinary proceedings against Inspector A. B., assistant/order specialist, and Deputy Commissioner E. P., specialist for crime investigations at the Korçë Police Station.

At the same time, serious disciplinary proceedings have begun against Deputy Commissioner P. B., coordinator of assistants/order specialists in the area.

The Professional Standards Directorate within the General Directorate of State Police continues a thorough disciplinary investigation of the case.

The Korçë Local Police Directorate appeals to citizens not to undertake unauthorized constructions and calls on business administrators and owners not to unlawfully occupy public spaces, warning that violations will be met with legal consequences.
