Pogradec / A case of drug trafficking busted

Operation “Buçimasi” concluded.


A case of drug selling in small doses has been busted.


One woman was caught in flagrante delicto, while efforts continue to apprehend her son.


A 21-year-old man is being prosecuted in a free state after being found with a quantity of suspected narcotics, which is believed to have been purchased from the arrested woman.


Seized were quantities of cannabis, two electronic scales, and a sum of money suspected to have been earned through this criminal activity.


Specialists from the Anti-Narcotics Unit of the Korçë Police Directorate, continuing their work to prevent and combat drug trafficking crimes, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed “Buçimasi.” Within the operation:


The woman Sh. H., 64 years old, residing in the village of Buçimas, was arrested in flagrante;


Her son, Xh. H., 30 years old, residing in Buçimas, has been declared wanted;


A 21-year-old man, L. T., residing in Pogradec, was prosecuted in a free state.


During the search of the residence of Sh. H. and Xh. H., police found a quantity of suspected Cannabis Sativa intended for sale in doses, two electronic scales, and a sum of money.


During a physical search, L. T. was found with a quantity of narcotics suspected to have been bought from the 64-year-old woman.


Procedural materials were handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Korçë General Jurisdiction First Instance Court for further actions regarding the criminal offense of “Production and sale of narcotics,” committed in cooperation.
