POLICE / Cocaine bust in Korçë: Incidents reported in Velitër, Pogradec, and Korçë. Here’s what happened!

Specialists in Narcotics Investigation have submitted materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, initiating criminal proceedings against E. D., 26, resident of Korçë, after a physical search uncovered and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine.

Specialists in Economic and Financial Crime Investigation submitted materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, starting criminal proceedings against E. H., 33, resident of Velitër, whose business was found to be unregistered with the competent authorities.

Korçë Police Commissariat services referred materials to the Prosecutor’s Office regarding an accident, after 67-year-old resident Zh. Xh. was bitten by stray dogs. She is receiving medical care in hospital and is out of life-threatening danger.

Pogradec Police Commissariat services submitted materials to the Prosecutor’s Office, initiating criminal proceedings against 44-year-old V. B., resident of Pogradec, for the criminal offense of “Disturbing Public Order and Safety.”

On November 23, 2025, in neighborhood no. 4 of Pogradec, a fire broke out in the warehouse of 72-year-old I. D., causing only material damage. Authorities are working to identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s).

All procedural materials have been referred to the Korçë Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
