Daily checks continue, focusing on increasing road safety and preventing accidents involving electric vehicles.

Under the special plan “For the prohibition of pedal and electric scooters,” police services have intensified monitoring on all major roads in the capital, with a focus on preventing the circulation of vehicles that do not meet legal requirements and pose a risk to other road users.

Since the start of the measures until November 2, 2025, a total of 1,462 electric vehicles have been found in violation and confiscated, specifically:

1,336 electric scooters

126 electric motorcycles

Additionally, in the past 24 hours, as a result of increased checks, 9 individuals were arrested in flagrante for illegal driving (8 of them while intoxicated and 1 without a driving license).

Checks were carried out on heavily trafficked routes, in urban areas, and near educational institutions, aiming to raise awareness about respecting traffic rules among all road users.

The Tirana Road Police urges drivers of motor vehicles, electric vehicles, and bicycles to exercise extra caution and strictly follow traffic regulations.

Controls will continue daily across all areas of the capital to enhance road safety and prevent incidents that endanger citizens’ lives.
