Guesting in a live connection on “Ora News,” MeteoAlb meteorologist Lajda Porja stated that the weather in Albania is expected to undergo a drastic change in the coming days, bringing a significant rise in temperatures and announcing the early arrival of summer-like heat.

The weekend that just passed appears to be the coolest for a long time, as each upcoming weekend is expected to be even hotter.

The week has started with relatively mild temperatures, with a maximum reaching 24°C. However, this situation will change quickly. From Tuesday, temperatures are expected to rise to 26°C, while Wednesday will reach 27°C.

The major shift is expected on Thursday and Friday, when the thermometer will rise rapidly, peaking during the weekend.

“In fact, I emphasized in an interview that the weekend we just had will be the coolest weekend.

Each upcoming weekend will become hotter. So we expect that in the second part of this week, starting from Wednesday onward, we will feel the change immediately.

Meanwhile, during the weekend, we will feel it from the early morning hours. Since at least until Wednesday, minimum temperatures will rise only slightly, by 1–2 degrees, it will feel a bit cool for those going out early in the morning around 6:00 for work, they will definitely feel a bit of chill and will need a jacket.

Starting from Friday and the weekend, the thermometer will immediately register in mountainous areas minimums of 9–10°C and maximums of 29–30°C across most of the western lowlands.

There will be isolated areas such as Elbasan, Berat, and Gjirokastër that may reach 30–31°C, and the weather is expected to remain stable.

I would exclude Wednesday and Thursday, midweek, when we will have cloud development in northern and eastern areas, bringing brief moments of rain showers lasting only a few minutes.

The rest of the territory will remain mostly clear. The weekend, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will not only be dominated by clear skies but will also be significantly warmer compared to any spring weekend we have experienced so far,” Porja stated.
