Hello!
My name is Kujtim. I’ve been here for about three weeks and had booked to stay another month. I was sleeping when they suddenly came in shouting, ‘Get out, get out!’ I asked them, ‘What’s going on?’ They said, ‘This is going to be demolished.’ I asked, ‘Why? Do you have any documents or anything?’ They said, ‘No, it’s just going to be demolished.’ No one gave me a reason, no one explained anything. I told them, ‘Okay, just wait, because I have all my personal belongings inside.
But no one let me take my things. My passport is still in there, everything is in there—under the rubble. I don’t know what’s going to happen next. I’ll go straight to the British Embassy, I’ve filmed everything.
I think I’ll have to handle this myself, if they let me retrieve my passport from under the rubble. Everyone wants to come here—it’s not just about me. I live in England and travel all over. I go to Egypt, everywhere I go, people talk about Albania, about Theth, how they want to visit—it’s a beautiful country.
Do you see this man whose building was demolished by the police? He’s such a good person. Instead of getting angry at them, he offers them water. That shows this country is investing a lot in every tourist who comes here," the tourist said.
