Seven years ago, on July 23, 2017, Gjergji Kushe, a multifaceted figure in Korça football, passed away amid stress and emotional suffering.

He began his career as a goalkeeper, protecting the nets for Skënderbeu and Vllaznia, where he shone with his talent. Gjergji was a dedicated coach who worked for many years with children, nurturing numerous footballers who later played for Skënderbeu. He also served for a long period as a goalkeeper coach at Skënderbeu. Beyond his contributions to football, Gjergji also made an impact as a Physical Education teacher.

His legacy is deeply ingrained in the community, remembered not only for his skills on the field but also for his dedication to fostering young talent and his role in education.

He departed in the most undeserved manner, leaving sorrow among his family, athletes, and former athletes. Anyone who knew him recognized his passion for sports, his gentle spirit, and his close connections with friends and colleagues. He was dedicated, which is why he achieved notable results in his sporting life.
