She was moving around armed; police put a 35-year-old woman in handcuffs (NAME)

The Mirditë Police have cracked down on a case of illegal possession of weapons.

During a check of a “Golf” type vehicle near the Kthella crossroads, a 35-year-old woman identified as Jetmira Biba from Rrëshen was caught and arrested in flagrante delicto, as she was moving around armed.

Police seized a pistol firearm with a magazine, live ammunition, and the vehicle.

The arrested woman is accused of the criminal offense of “Illegal possession and manufacture of weapons, explosive weapons, and ammunition,” while the case materials were forwarded to the Lezhë Prosecutor’s Office for further actions.

A 35-year-old woman, who was traveling by vehicle while armed with a pistol firearm, was apprehended and placed in handcuffs.

One pistol firearm, live ammunition, and the vehicle were seized.

As part of ongoing efforts to gather information and crack down on cases of illegal weapon possession, officers of the Mirditë Police Commissariat, based on received information that a female citizen was moving around armed, organized and finalized the police operation codenamed “Kryqëzimi.”

As a result of the operation, near the Kthella crossroads, toward the entrance of the city of Rrëshen, police officers identified a “Golf” type vehicle in which the armed suspect was believed to be traveling and stopped it for inspection.

During the search of the vehicle, police officers found and seized, as material evidence, one pistol firearm with a magazine and live ammunition.

At the conclusion of procedural actions, the citizen J. B., 35 years old, resident of Rrëshen, Mirditë, was arrested in flagrante delicto for the criminal offense of “Illegal possession and manufacture of weapons, explosive weapons, and ammunition.”

The procedural materials were forwarded to the Lezhë Prosecutor’s Office for further actions.
