GREECE – New details have emerged about the crime that occurred a few days ago in Greece, where a Greek business owner and his Albanian friend were fatally shot. Greek media reported that the attack took place in front of the Greek owner’s nephew, who miraculously escaped the ambush.
The perpetrator has not yet been found, and the motives behind the double murder remain unclear. Greek police are keeping all possibilities open, not ruling out either personal motives or more complex scenarios.
According to the authorities, the killer arrived at the campsite in a pickup truck, then entered the business premises where the two victims were located and executed them in cold blood. No bullet casings were found at the scene, reinforcing suspicions that the murderer used a revolver. The Greek owner was killed instantly inside the office, while the Albanian victim tried to flee but was shot in the back and killed.
Security cameras in the area captured the perpetrator fleeing the scene on a motorcycle heading toward the village of Koryfassi, about 40 minutes from Finikounda. However, the footage is blurry, showing no license plate, and the getaway vehicle has not yet been located.
The assailant was reportedly wearing a long-sleeved shirt and had his face uncovered. The nephew of the Greek owner was also present during the shooting and narrowly escaped. According to his testimony, the gunman also fired at him but missed. The witness was unable to identify the perpetrator.
Authorities continue to investigate all possible leads, while relatives and close acquaintances of the victims are expected to give statements as the motive behind the killing remains a mystery.
