Today marks the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, one of the most important periods for Muslim believers around the world. The ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar signifies a time of fasting, spiritual reflection, and devotion to faith.

During Ramadan, believers fast each day from dawn until sunset, abstaining from food and drink as an act of sacrifice and dedication. In addition to fasting, this period is characterized by increased prayers, good deeds, and support for those in need.

Ramadan is also a time of family unity, when iftar — the evening meal that breaks the fast — brings families together around the table. The holy month will conclude with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of fasting.

Religious authorities have called on believers to observe this month in peace, solidarity, and devotion, emphasizing the importance of the spiritual and human values conveyed during this special period.
