Gjovalin Shkambi, the uncle of the man who killed Judge Astrit Kalaja, threatens that the same fate will meet any judge who convicts his nephew, Elvis Shkambi.

In a statement to the media, Gjovalin Shkambi said that any judge who sentences his nephew will “face bullets” and receive the same reward.

He went on to claim the property was bought legally and under the rules, and warned that whoever convicts that boy even Donald Trump or the Pope will not be safe with them anymore.

“The judge who convicts my nephew will face the same thing; he will face bullets, he will receive the same reward. For 13 years we have been petitioning the prime minister and the whole government: give us the property because we bought it. We provided the evidence. Either send us to prison if we privatized it wrong. To the family of the deceased judge, I kneel and ask for forgiveness in church and mosque.

But whoever convicts that boy will be judged as if Astrit were being judged. We bought the property legally, with rules, we are in debt. Whoever convicts that boy will get the same even if it’s Donald Trump or the Pope there is no more playing with us. We have won all the lawsuits, we have the certificates; let the state investigate, because for 13 years I have been writing to Edi Rama to release our property. There will be no more playing with us.

I was not aware of the act my nephew would commit; if I had known, I would have stopped him... We have started an unprecedented war; absolutely, I do not fear retaliation. Not at all.

Whoever convicts that boy will be judged with bullets in the courtroom, because the state betrayed my trust I bought it from the state. There is no judge who will convict him,” he said.
