The Marketing-Tourism Department is holding a roundtable discussion on the topic: "The Impact of Digitalization on the Sustainable Development of the Korçë Region"

The Marketing_Tourism Department is hosting a roundtable discussion titled "The Impact of Digitalization on the Sustainable Development of the Korçë Region." 

Present at this roundtable are professors, students, representatives of businesses related to tourism and digital marketing, as well as the chairman of the Korçë County Council, Mr. Erjon Nexhipi. 

The meeting was initially addressed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ledina Alolli, who emphasized the special importance of this discussion, given the crucial role that tourism has recently taken in the economic and cultural development of the Korçë region. "As a region rich in natural beauty, wonderful traditions, and rich history, it is our duty to promote and develop its tourism potential." She also expressed her belief that the discussions from this roundtable will bring new strategies and ideas for the sustainable and effective development of tourism in this wonderful area of Albania. 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Esmeralda Shkira, a professor in this department, initially presented the trends in industry, hospitality, and tourism, focusing on digitalization and sustainability. The conversation then shifted to specific cases of the progress of tourism businesses in our region, the problems encountered, and suggestions and ideas on how the University, specifically the Faculty of Economics, can effectively prepare our students who are primarily studying in the fields of tourism and marketing.
