The new school year 2025–2026 begins on September 8, with the official exam dates for 9th grade and high school seniors set

The 2025–2026 school year for primary and secondary education begins on September 8 and will end on June 12, 2026.

For high school seniors, classes finish on May 25, 2026, while the state matura exams are scheduled between June 1–26. Ninth-grade students finish classes on May 29, with their exams set for June 15–26, 2026.

The registration process for first and tenth grades will continue until August 31 through the e-Albania platform. Schools will notify students about the dates and places for the distribution of free textbooks before the start of classes.

Winter break is scheduled for December 22, 2025 – January 2, 2026, while spring break for primary education will take place from March 30 – April 3, 2026.

School rules include a ban on the use of mobile phones during lessons and on school premises. Violations will be sanctioned with disciplinary measures and parents will be notified.

Parent–school communication and cooperation will be managed through the SMIP platform, according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Education.
