The police seized 21,800 euros in Kapshtica

Kapshticë/Border Police investigates a case of non-declaration of money at the border.

21,800 euros are seized, the 40-year-old man who did not declare them is prosecuted.

The services of the Kapshticë Border Police Station, following the work to prevent and combat illegality, within the framework of increased controls, based on the risk analysis, at the exit of the Republic of Albania, have moved to the second line, for control of in detail, an "Opel" type vehicle, driven by citizen F. D., 40 years old, resident in Thessaloniki, Greece.

During the check, 21,800 euros were found in the 40-year-old's handbag, which he had not declared as required by law. The monetary amount was seized as material evidence.

Further procedural actions were carried out by specialists for the Investigation of Economic-Financial Crimes, of the Korçë Local Police Directorate, who referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where the criminal proceedings began in a free state for the citizen F. D.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further action.
