The White House outlines four main objectives in Iran

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reiterated the fourfold objective of U.S. military strikes against Iran, closely following her messages amid confusion from allies over the path to a rapid strike this past weekend. According to Leavitt, the U.S. aims to achieve four key objectives with the strikes in Iran:

1. Destroy the Iranian regime’s ballistic missile program.

2. Eliminate Iran’s naval presence in the region.

3. Dismantle Iran’s terrorist groups, which have been responsible for attacks on U.S. coalition forces and contributed to regional destabilization.

4. Prevent Iran from pursuing a nuclear weapon.

Leavitt’s comments come as the administration has struggled to communicate its goals in Iran following the initial strikes in the early hours of Saturday.
